TC Idol Competition
The Grand Traverse Chapter of Sweet Adelines is proud to sponsor Traverse City’s second “TC Idol” competition. Five young singers from the area are competed for a $500 music scholarship grand prize to be awarded at the completion of the evening performance of "See the USA", September 27. The five finalists were selected from over twenty participants in a preliminary competition held in May of 2008. They were scored in the four Sweet Adelines judging categories: Sound, Music, Expression, and Showmanship. There was also an “Audience Favorite Award” presented to one of the finalists, votes having been tallied from both of the audiences at the matinee and evening performances.
